Student Places in National FBLA Competition

A Fox Chapel Area High School 2015-2016 junior placed at the 2016 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference. Tanvi Meringenti placed seventh in Insurance and Risk Management at nationals.

More than 9,380 competitors from across the United States participated in the competition, and over $179,000 was awarded in cash prizes. The FBLA national conference was held in Atlanta June 29-July 2. The conference is a national competitive events program that recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. In addition to competitions, the students immersed themselves in interactive workshops, visited an information-packed exhibit hall, and heard from motivational speakers on a broad range of business topics.

Tanvi qualified for the national competition by placing at the FBLA State Leadership Conference that was held in April in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
