Fox Chapel's Got Talent 2017

Fox Chapel Area High School students will vie for a top prize of $500 in the Fox Chapel’s Got Talent show at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017, in the Fox Chapel Area High School auditorium. The show is open to the public.

Fox Chapel’s Got Talent follows the format of the reality television series, “America’s Got Talent.” Contestants will perform on stage and a panel of three judges will critique each act. Following the 15 acts with 23 students performing, the judges will choose three winning acts. First prize is $500, second prize is $300, and third prize is $100.

Acts performed by the Fox Chapel Area High School students will include vocal duets, vocal & guitar performances, piano & vocal ensembles, one band, an a cappella duet, and a magic routine. There will also be accomplished solo singers and piano performances. Songs from well-known artists will include “Grenade” by Bruno Mars, “Ex’s and Oh’s” by Elle King, “Mean” by Taylor Swift, a piano instrumental of “True Blue” by Kevin Olson, as well as retro songs such as “These Days” written by James Browne in 1967.

Tickets will be sold at the door. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.
