Students Place at Westminster Model UN Conference
Two Fox Chapel Area High School students recently placed at the Ninth Annual Westminster Model UN Conference. The team of sophomore Tristan McClelland and freshman Rajeev Godse were recognized as the Outstanding Delegation (equivalent to a first place) in their committee.
Approximately 210 students from 18 Western Pennsylvania high schools participated in the Westminster Model UN Conference. The conference was held April 19 at Westminster College.
The purpose of the Model UN conference is to enable students to role-play and simulate the countries in the United Nations. As a part of the conference, students debate and try to solve global problems from the perspectives of other countries.
