Graduate Yelim Lee received a Certificate of Accomplishment as part of the contest. The award, sponsored by Princeton University, recognizes students in grades 9-12 from across the nation who deserve to be recognized for their volunteer efforts that have positively impacted race relations in their own schools or communities. Students can be nominated or can apply for the award through an application process and must also have an adult sponsor.
Winners of the Princeton Prize in Race Relations have stood up to intolerance, worked toward greater inclusivity, and encouraged understanding and harmony in their communities. The 122 winners were selected from 27 regions from across the United States.
