High School to Host World Language Conference
Fox Chapel Area High School is hosting the third annual Pittsburgh’s World Language Connection Conference for educators. Educators from across Western Pennsylvania are expected to attend the November 7, 2017, conference, including world and classical languages teachers, English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers, social studies teachers, music teachers, art teachers, administrators, and others. The conference is the result of a collaborative effort between Fox Chapel Area High School teachers and administrators and the University of Pittsburgh. Highlights of the program include a keynote speaker, breakout sessions lead by Pittsburgh area high school and university educators, and vendors offering various information on world languages and classroom connections. The keynote speaker will be the Chair of the Department of Instruction and Learning at the University of Pittsburgh, Richard Donato, Ph.D.
The World Language Connection Conference will be held November 7 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Fox Chapel Area High School located at 611 Field Club Road in O’Hara Township.
