Students Place at North Catholic Forensic Tournament

Six Fox Chapel Area High School students won awards at the Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School Forensic Tournament. Senior Frank Lou and sophomore Jeremy Rodrigues both received "Outstanding Performance" plaques in Impromptu Speaking and were recognized as being among the top five finishers in their event. The team of juniors Priyanka Shah and Daly Trimble won first place in Public Forum Debate and had an undefeated record. Juniors David Humphrey and Julia Lynch won second place in Public Forum Debate. Additionally, as a team, Fox Chapel Area High School students won the second place sweepstakes plaque in the large school category. This award takes into account the records and rankings of all of the Fox Chapel Area students who competed at the tournament.

The Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic Forensic Tournament was held December 13, 2014, at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School. More than 300 students representing 30 high schools from across Western Pennsylvania competed in various speech and debate events at the tournament.
