Kerr Kindness Rock Garden Update

The Kerr Kindness Rock garden is open. When a student is looking for a little positive encouragement, they may visit the garden and take a rock. When he/she no longer needs that rock, they may leave it in the community for others to find thus paying it forward. We believe that this will have a positive impact on not only our school, but our community.

We are asking for students to help grow our garden. We are collecting smooth round river rocks. We ask that rock sizes be no larger than a baseball and no smaller than an egg. Students can deposit their rocks into the red buckets by the computer lab. Student council will clean, paint the rocks a variety of unique colors and tag them with #kerrrocks on the back. These rocks will then be available for students from all grades to take home and decorate. Students may paint them with happy pictures, inspirational messages or funny phrases. Students can place their kindness rock back in the Kerr Rock Garden for other students or out in the community.

Take one - Share one - Add one is our kindness rock garden motto.

The hope is the garden will continue to grow at Kerr and in the community. The idea gives kids a way to share messages of hope and inspiration with their peers while leaving a trail of kindness behind for others to follow outside of school.
