Jonathan T. Nauhaus

Principal, Dorseyville Middle School

NauhausJonathan Nauhaus joined the Fox Chapel Area School District in July 2007 as an assistant principal at Dorseyville Middle School. He then became the principal in the summer of 2013. Prior to arriving at Fox Chapel Area, Mr. Nauhaus worked as a middle and elementary school teacher at the Falk Laboratory School. Additionally, Mr. Nauhaus taught grades three-five in the Pittsburgh and District of Columbia public school systems.

Mr. Nauhaus earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in law and society at The American University in Washington, D.C. He has also earned a Master of Education degree in elementary education and K-12 administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Additionally, he has taken coursework toward his letter of eligibility for superintendent certification from the University of Pittsburgh.

At Dorseyville, Mr. Nauhaus is responsible for supervision of the math, science, art, business, physical education, and technology education departments. Additionally, he helps to coordinate the 1:1 iPad initiative that is entering its third year of implementation. Mr. Nauhaus very much enjoys his work with middle school students and is committed to providing a positive learning experience for all students that attend Dorseyville Middle School.
